Delve into Turkey’s rich history in this 8 Day Tour of Turkey which takes you to all of the “must-see” sites as well as some lesser visited sites. You’ll be amazed at the incredible natural landscape, enthralled by stories from the past and enjoy some incredible architecture of some of Turkey’s most historic buildings.

This morning we hit the road and drive to Bursa, the former capital of the Ottoman Empire. Sites we will visit include the famous Grand Mosque and the historical Silk Bazaar. We then continue to the Aegean Coast to Kusadasi, where we will spend the night. Hotel in Kuşadası.

This morning we will visit a local leather outlet where you will enjoy a fashion show showcasing some of the many leather products for which this area is famous. We will also visit Ephesus – one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world and where you will feel as if you stepped back in time. We also visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world before driving to Pamukkale, home of the famous white travertine pools. After breakfast we head for Konya where we will visit the Mausoleum of famous Sufi poet Rumi. We then head to Cappadocia, famous for its incredible lunar-like landscape. Hotel in Cappadocia.

After breakfast we start our tour of Cappadocia, the jewel in Turkey’s crown. Highlights will include Pigeon Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum and one of the area’s famous underground cities. You’ll also enjoy a demonstration of pottery making, a craft that is traditional in this area. Hotel in Cappadocia.

We leave Cappadocia this morning and drive to Turkey's capital of Ankara where we will visit the Mausoleum of Turkey’s founding father, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Hotel in Ankara.

After breakfast we depart for Istanbul, where we will visit the famous Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace on arrival. Hotel in İstanbul.

This morning we will visit the Eyup Sultan Mosque which was the first mosque built by the Ottomans following the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. Here we will also visit the tomb of tomb of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (Eyüp Ensari in Turkish) – who was both a friend and standard bearer for the Prophet Muhammed, and was killed during the first Arab siege of Constantinople (674-678).
